On 27, an army of giant shoes will take Madrid calle Serrano. Thanks to the ‘Shoe Street Art’ exhibition, which pays tribute to an industry that is sold in more than 140 countries and whose brands have more than 400 shops, locals may contemplate the 25 sculptures/shoe until June 24 made in fiberglass and polyester.
The shoe is probably one of the product more emblematic and differentiating in the fashion universe. Object of cult following among many ‘fashionistas’, is also one of the national industries with the greatest potential for its design, its quality, its international projection and its innovation.
This exhibition, driven by the technological Institute of footwear (INESCOP), arrived in Madrid wrapped in an interesting calendar of activities that will take the shoe as a storyline. Thus, on June 3 children – between three and 10 years – can enjoy games, workshops, storytelling and pintacaras in the gardens of the discovery. And on June 10, elders may become photographers for a day and participate in the photo contest, organized in collaboration with the school EFTI and immortalize the giant shoe that has most impacted them.
In addition, in the context of ‘Madrid Sunday Shopping’, Spain shoes – the campaign of communication and outreach driven by the Federation of industries of the footwear Spanish – has managed discounts and special promotions with the brands of shoes Spanish shop itself in the street of Serrano and adjacent areas – such as Unisa, Pretty Ballerinas or Lotusse-to publicize the shoes with label Spanish and encourage consumption.
